DSC_0052The period between winter and spring is, without a doubt, the hardest to dress for. I can never find balance between being too hot or too cold, wearing too much or wearing too little.

Neutrals this season fall right along side my favorite trends this spring.

Lucky for us, neutral pieces are rarely hard to find and can be worn again and again in multiple different arrangements throughout the year.

This outfit combines some winter prints with some spring length and color.

Pairing this long-sleeved Show Me Your Mumu tunic dress with nude tights and a tall boot (Jessica Simpson) allowed for me to still have some coverage, but not too much.

My favorite part about wearing neutrals is being able to spice it up with a hot lip or some fun jewelry. Pairing my array of sandy neutrals with pink lips added some color without taking away from the original color scheme.

Another season favorite of mine is the floppy hat. What was once seen as something strictly found poolside or at an outing on the lake is now being seen on some of the hottest runways this season.

I found mine at my local American Eagle on sale for only $5 and knew there was no way I could pass it up! It adds a fun spin to this outfit and the color is sure to match with so much this spring.

Any woman of any age can pull off the neutral trend and stores this spring are making it so easy to do so.

On a budget?

Incorporating old pieces from fall or winter’s closet makes it all the more wallet friendly.

Cream, white, grey, blush (pale pink), brown, black,  and khaki are some of this season’s hottest colors and are sure to be seen everywhere this spring.DSC_0057
